Air Conditioning

The ship is fully air conditioned. Cabin temperatures are individually adjustable.

 

Animals

Animals are not permitted on board.

 

Bath towels / wool blankets

Bath towels and wool blankets are available on the sun deck.

 

Bars

The Lido or Lounge Bar is open from 11:00 am to 1:00 am daily. Soft drinks, coffee, tea and water are available free of charge daily in the lounge.

 

Boutique

The Boutique’s hours of operation vary according to the ship’s schedule. Please see the daily program for the current hours. You can also visit the collection here. Orders may be placed directly.

 

Bridge

The bridge area may be visited during the day and/or at certain hours, subject to permission by the Captain. During maneuvers and night travel the bridge is closed.

 

Cabin Furnishings

Your cabin is furnished with a TV with integrated video player, a direct-dial telephone, and a safe. In addition, each cabin has a selection of non-alcoholic drinks which are available free of charge during the trip. In the bath are various toiletries, as well as a robe and hairdryer.

 

Cabin Key Card

You will receive your cabin key card at the start of the trip. It serves to unlock your cabin and as identification to board and leave the ship. Please carry this card with you at all times and inform the reception in case of loss.

 

Computer/Email

There is a notebook computer for passenger use available in the lounge. Emails may be sent from this workstation. A notebook with internet access is available at purser's office.

 

Change of route          

Even when most carefully planned, our route may be subject to change due to weather conditions or other unforeseen events. You will be informed on board of any possible changes.

 

Daily program

General information to the day’s events and shore visits is prepared by the cruise director in the daily program, which you receive evenings in your cabin.

 

Dress Code

Sporty, casual clothing is appropriate onboard. For the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell receptions and dinners, we recommend more formal attire for women and a jacket and tie for men. It might be slippery on deck. Please remember to take shoes with rubber soles with you.

 

Email

The vessel can be reached via on board email address at seacloud2(at)seacloud.com.
We recommend that you advise your email correspondents to send “text only” messages when sending email to the ship’s address.
Please note that messages sent to the vessel are generally limited to 50 KB for each message and may be rejected automatically by the system.
Incoming Email
Messages up to a file size of 50 KB are free of charge. For incoming messages exceeding 50 KB, the outgoing “file size” is applicable and will be charged to your shipboard account. Rates are available at the purser’s office.
Outgoing Email
Messages up to a file size of 50 KB are free of charge. Depending on the file size, Messages exceeding 50 KB will be charged to your shipboard account. Rates are available at the purser’s office.

 

Embarkation/Disembarkation

Embarkment begins at 16:00. An earlier arrival is not possible, as the crew is preparing the ship for your arrival. Disembarkment is at 9:00.

 

Fitness area / Sauna

Our Fitness area is open daily and offers modern fitness machines. There is no charge. The sauna is heated upon request. Please see the reception.

 

Foreign currency

Foreign currencies for shore visits are usually available in small quantities at the purser. In addition, we recommend that you obtain small bills of the national currencies before your trip.

 

Gratuities

Tips are not included in the price of the trip. Of course, it is at your discretion to reward the crew’s good service with a tip. As a guideline, we suggest €14.00 per passenger per day.

 

Hospital

The hospital is located on the Cabin Deck and is staffed by a ship’s doctor. Please refer to the daily program for hours of operation. The doctor can be reached at all times in case of emergency. Medications as well as seasickness pills are available in limited quantities. Special treatments are to be coordinated beforehand with the cruise company.

 

Internet

You may use an onboard laptop to log on to the internet free of charge. Please see the reception desk for a laptop.

 

Laundry

There is limited service on board for laundry and ironing. There is no dry-cleaning. You will find a price list in your closet. For safety reasons, it is not permitted to use an iron in your cabin.

 

Library

Choose from German and English language books and games.

 

Lounge chairs

Lounge chairs for all passengers are available on the Sun Deck.

 

Lounge

The Lounge is located on the Lido Deck and is always open.

 

Mail

You may leave your mail with the purser, who will forward it at the next port. Please write your cabin number in the stamp corner. The stamp will be charged to your board account.

 

Newspapers

You will receive a daily newspaper with the latest news by satellite.

 

Payment methods

The basic currency onboard is the Euro (€). The following payment methods are accepted for settlement of the shipboard accounts:

- Cash (Euro)

Please note, that personal checks cannot be cashed onboard. Other arrangements need to be approved by SEA CLOUD CRUISES prior to embarkation.

 

Postcards

Ship postcards are available free of charge in your cabin.

 

Reception

The reception is located in the foyer of the Promenade Deck and is staffed from 7:00 to 24:00.

 

Restaurant

On SEA CLOUD II we offer your choice of tables. Please refer to the daily program for service hours. Meals are served at one sitting.

 

Safe

In the closet of your cabin is an electronic safe which can be programmed with a personal code.

 

Safety

Safety equipment is explained during the emergency exercise at the start of the trip. According to international regulations, all passengers are required to participate.

 

Shore Excursions

The cruise director will give detailed port briefings regarding shore excursions.

 

Smoking

In consideration of all passengers, smoking is not permitted on board with the exception of designated areas on open decks. Please do not throw your smoking materials over board.

 

Special diets

We gladly take into account special needs regarding diets. Please let us know your requirements well in advance of your trip.

 

Telephone / Fax

The vessel is equipped with both a Satcom B satellite system and a GSM (cellular) system, either of which you can access outgoing calls from your stateroom. Incoming calls and faxes are received via the satellite system due to the inherent range limitations of the GSM system.

GSM (cellular) costs approx. € 3 per minute, and is available in European waters and near French islands in the Caribbean. Satellite communication costs approx. € 5 per minute, and is available in all cruising areas. You may choose which system to use, which nevertheless depends on the location of the ship.

 

Travel documents

Your travel documents contain information on your trip’s course and shore outings as well as the order form, your boarding ticket and airplane ticket, where applicable.

 

Umbrellas

Umbrellas are available in your cabin.

 

Voltage

The voltage on board in 220 volts. Each bath is equipped with an outlet for a razor.

 

Visitors

Visitors are allowed on board only with prior registration by the passenger or event planner with the purser. The services used by the visitor while on board shall be settled through the board account of the passenger or event planner.

 

Water sports

The SEA CLOUD II has snorkelling, water ski and windsurfing equipment which may be used free of charge in coordination with the ship’s Cruise Director.
