The German Federal Parliament has decided to increase the value added tax charged on the German sections of river cruises from the current 7% to 19% as of January 1, 2012. This has far-reaching consequences which unfortunately force us to charge a supplement of 3,5% on the cruise-only rates published in the 2012 catalogue for bookings made from March 1, 2012 onwards.
Until February 29, 2012 we still like to give you the opportunity to make bookings at the currently published catalogue rates without the increase.
River cruise bookings for 2012 which have already been made will, of course, not be subject to any retrospective surcharges.
